March with
Adalah-NY: The Coalition for Justice in the Middle East
On March 18th in New York City to demand:
US out of the Middle East
End Israeli Apartheid
Stop US Aid to Israel
End US and Israeli Aggression Against Iran
This past year saw a massive escalation in the destruction unleashed by the United States and Israel on the Middle East:
· More than 600 Palestinians and 1,200 Lebanese killed by Israeli forces.
· A US veto against a United Nations Security Council resolution requiring Israel to cease its attacks.
· Billions of dollars in US aid given to Israel, including an emergency shipment of bombs.
· Sanctions against the Palestinian Authority that have impoverished millions of Palestinians, especially in Gaza.
· Aggressive and reckless political and military provocations directed towards Iran by the US and Israel.
Most recently, Israel has finally admitted to being the only country in the Middle East with a WMD nuclear arsenal.
Add to all of this that 655,000 Iraqis and almost 3,000 US soldiers have been killed since the 2003 invasion of Iraq and it becomes painfully clear that Israeli aggression is supported by the United States and is inseparably tied to the United States' illegal occupation of Iraq and larger U.S. strategies for hegemony in the region.
The anti-war movement will hit the streets again on March 18th in a demonstration in N.Y.C. called for by United for Peace and Justice. Adalah-NY: The Coalition for Justice in the Middle East is organizing a contingent to march against the occupation of Iraq, against the occupation of Palestine, against the attacks on Lebanon, against attacks and other aggressions on Iran, and for justice in all of the Middle East. We need to come together and mobilize in a loud, visible presence that links these attacks and raises our demands for justice.
We invite everyone who wants a Middle East free of injustices and oppression to march with us on December 18th. Meet us there. Look for our banners, signs and flags on 38th Street between 5th & 6th Ave. from 12:30 on.
