FIDF is a multimillion dollar 501c3 not-for-profit organization that collects funds to send to the Israeli military. In 2014 at their last gala dinner, they raised $20 million for what they call “the wellbeing of IDF soldiers”. But this is NOT a humanitarian organization. The Israeli military, (the Israel Defense Forces), has been a violator of human rights and international law as seen in the recent massacre in Gaza, the 2008-9 massacre in Gaza, the 2006 attack on Lebanon, the 60+ year assault on and dispossession of the Palestinian people.
Please join Adalah-NY outside Symphony Space (Broadway and West 95th) on Tuesday, November 18 from 6:30-8pm for a demonstration against the concert of the Touré-Raichel Collective, which features premiere Israeli "cultural ambassador" Idan Raichel.
Join us to protest the Batsheva Dance Company's performance on Wednesday, November 12 in front of the Brooklyn Academy of Music. There will be dance performances and a free dabke class beginning at 6:30 to kick off the demonstration. While Batsheva dances for Israeli apartheid, we dance for Palestinian Freedom!
Join Adalah-NY this Sunday at the south side of Union Square (14th and Broadway). In small groups, we will visit stores that stock and sell SodaStream and let owners and managers know why they should stop.
Adalah-NY and allied groups call for supporters of human rights to protest the Israeli assault on Gaza. As part of a national day of action, we will march to Lower Manhattan government buildings to demand that our local and national governments end their support of Israel’s current massacre in Gaza and its ongoing occupation and colonization of Palestine.
